Drought and heat have challenged gardeners this season, yet some plants continue to thrive, even in these conditions. What are your favorite plants? Why do you like them?
My sylvias and vinca are weathering the drought well. My summer poinsettias have never been more beautiful. A favorite dahlia I planted has grown about 2 feet tall, but it hasn’t produced any buds. Of course, my favorite flowers are roses. They’ve had a tough time this summer, but right now, they’re full of buds. I suppose it’s the last good bloom for this year.
