  1. Marigolds are a common flower, but somehow have grown from seed this season, haven’t been ravaged by hungry wildlife, and still look OK in high temperatures with watering. What are your plants that have survived the hot dry summer in good shape?

  2. My summer poinsettias have never been more beautiful than they are this year. I have watered them well, so they haven’t suffered the dryness, but they must love the heat.
