Jay Gurney’s agave stalk continues to mature over the summer. Note the male flowers? along the stalk. While the stalk decreases in diameter, a head of female flowers? appears at the top of the stalk. If seeds are produced, Jay plans to collect them. In the meantime, the leaves of agave are declining in this single great bloom.
