Preheim liked the challenge of growing tomatillos for Mexican dishes. She found that having two plants for cross-pollination helped ensure the husks would fill. A fellow gardener gave her the tip.
Preheim grows her tomatoes from seed that she starts at home and then transplants at the community gardens. She tends to plant 4-6 week old tomatoes and has good results. Here are some tomatoes that yielded well from a young start.
