Regional Plant-Related Event

The Minnehaha County Master Gardeners’ annual garden tour provides the community the opportunity to experience the beauty of six local gardens. The garden tour aims to showcase the botanical creations of accomplished Sioux Falls gardeners.
The garden tour will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20. Starting June 1, people interested in attending can visit any of the Sioux Falls or Brandon Lewis Drug locations to purchase a 10 dollar ticket to the tour. With a ticket purchase, individuals will receive the locations of the five garden tour sites. Money raised at the event will be used for scholarships and funds that promote regional gardening.
The garden tour not only offers a glimpse into plant paradise, but it also a provides a valuable opportunity to consult local garden experts. Master Gardeners will be available at each of the garden location to answer questions about the particular garden and gardening in general. In the case of inclement weather, this event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21. Through the garden tour, Minnehaha County Master Gardeners will bring the community together to celebrate creative, established, local gardens. Minnehaha County Master Gardeners works within the Sioux Falls region to broaden gardening knowledge and provide resources for community members. Certified Master Gardeners receive extensive education through South Dakota State University’s horticulture department, making us regional experts in plants, insects, garden diseases, and gardening techniques.
