“A Beautiful Spring Starts in the Fall” is a timely talk about planting tulips and the tulip festival presented by Mike Hofman and Keri Drescher on September 25th, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to this free event to be held at the Pavilion Auditorium on the Avera Hospital Campus, W. 4th St., Yankton, SD, 57078.
Mike Hofman who is the Orange City Iowa Tulip Festival director, will talk about tulips and other Dutch traditions that are the inspiration of the festival for the past 78 years. He will be accompanied by Keri Drescher, owner and operator of Tulip Town Bulb Company in Orange City, Iowa. They will share how to plant tulips this fall so they will look the best next spring. They will give other tulip care tips from years of festival experience. Audience will see beautiful photos, hear tulip stories. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions about tulips and other spring blooming bulbs you may be planting soon, and about next May’s tulip festival.
