Deck Container Plants

Container gardening enables us to vary colors and change the area of focus by moving pots. Containers can be placed in the right location for sunlight in our yard. We can grow plants in containers when we don’t have flowerbed space.

IMG_0771Plants can be grown on protected decks in pots where they would be lunch for wildlife in a yard. With adequate water and moderate use of timed fertilizer, many plants perform well, even after hot summer days. In the following video, you’ll see common and a couple of unusual container plants that perform well in hot southern exposure in summer.
